Tyre fitting

You do not need to drive anywhere to have tyres changed. The machine, the compressor and the weights travel in the van; the job is finished where the vehicle already stands.

Fitting touches more details than it appears to. If the bead seat of the rim is not cleaned while the old tyre comes off, the new tyre never seats properly and a slow leak starts within weeks. The valve should be replaced with every new tyre: rubber valves age and crack, and a part worth a few lira lets the tyre go flat overnight. Nuts are tightened with a torque wrench — running an impact gun to the stop stretches the stud, while under-tightening lets the wheel work loose. If the vehicle has tyre pressure sensors, removal needs extra care; the sensor sits inside the tyre and breaks easily.

  • Rim-safe machine with roller head — matters most on alloy wheels
  • New valve with every new tyre
  • Bead seat cleaned: the most common cause of a slow leak
  • Nuts tightened with a torque wrench
  • Balancing after fitting comes as standard, no need to ask

Common questions

Will you fit tyres I bought myself?

Yes. Where you bought them makes no difference; we check the size and the production date together with you.

Do all four tyres have to be replaced at once?

No, but the two on the same axle should be changed together. Different tread depths on one axle spoil braking distance and grip.

Does the ground the vehicle stands on matter?

Yes. The jack needs level, solid ground. If the vehicle is on soft earth or a slope, say so on the phone and we come prepared.

Are you there right now?

Call, tell us where you are, and we set off.
